I started participating in track and field events at the age of 15 but on the side I've played softball since I was 10. Track has now become my favorite sport and I found my passion in shot-put and discuss throw. My goal is to compete throughout my senior year and hopefully for colleges as well.
For the first year, I threw for JPRD and was taught by my coach, Brandon Lovell. I was the Jefferson Parish Champion in Shot-put with a distance of 30 ft 1 in using a 6 lb shot-put. Now I throw for the club, NOLA Rush, where I currently am the throws captain. Everyday I try to lead by example, keep my team mates uplifted and help them get to where they want to be. I am very coachable and work as hard as I can every day.
Academically, I strive to maintain my good grades and I am currently working hard to improve my ACT scores. I know how to balance my academic and athletic life well. I want to go to a college where I am forced out of my comfort zone and able to push myself to the best student athlete that I can be. I am open to all options but would prefer to be closest to home.
