Personal Statement

I have always loved going the distance. Distance on skis, the track, a course, or in the classroom, I am continually craving distance.  I look for new ways to apply myself as an athlete, student, and human around every corner. The college experience will give me the chance to continue and grow.  I love people and especially love learning from them, so being a part of teams, groups, and schools let me experience all at once. I want to go to a school that will challenge me physically and academically while exposing me to new people and places.

Training

  • Crossfit
  • 2 years
  • Off an on throughout offseasons and little during XC, Nordic or Track. Generally 5:30-6:30 classes at Crossfit Bangor and Crossfit Undaunted. Intense training was at times too much to physically handle with another practice in the afternoon after school. Both my mom and I would wake up at 4:00 am and drive to the gym, workout, and then I would be dropped off at my school.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
