During my athletic career I have been fortunate to qualify at a state, national, and high school level many times. The highlight of my career was placing in the top three in not just my hurdle event, but the Heptathlon at the National Qualifier in 2019. I felt very accomplished because, it is one thing to be skilled in a single event, but another to be able to do well in a combined seven events at one time. I am thrilled to have had the chance to start Track & Field eight years ago, and to have had the opportunities to try almost every event in the sport. Starting at such a young age has allowed me to try all the events, which has shaped me into a well-rounded athlete, and ultimately given me a chance to perfect my techniques and skill level. As a DECA/FBLA leader, scholar, and dual sport athlete, I have the potential to achieve success at the college level.
I have been lucky enough to be a part of a high school team that has produced many amazing, talented athletes and coaches, that have helped me grow personally, and athletically. With their guidance, I have been able to compete several times at the New Balance Nationals, and the Hispanic Games at the New York Armory. Throughout my time as a multi-event Track & Field athlete, I have faced many struggles, including a severe foot injury, but I have never given up. I have been working hard this past year to recover and build myself back up to competition level. Track & Field is my love and passion; I refuse to give up. I have sacrificed much of my personal time to develop the skill level needed to compete at the college level. I believe my range of athletic ability, potential, determination, and self-discipline, will make me a great addition to any college program.
