Hello! My name is Cameron Ting, and I am currently a junior at Belchertown High School. I joined track and field my freshman year and have absolutely loved it ever since. My favorite (and best) events are high jump and long jump, although I’m also very versatile and love trying different events, the most recent I’ve tried being shot put and the 800. I also love relays, especially the 4x400. I made it to Western Mass last year and am striving for States this year. I would love to join a track and field team in college, it seems like both a valuable learning experience and an amazing social experience as well, and I would get to keep doing my favorite sport! I am currently a captain on my team, so I am familiar with the hard work aspect of track as well as the community aspect and bonding experience. In addition to bettering myself in the sport, I love to watch others make progress and cheer them on for their successes. In terms of academics, I have taken all Honors courses since freshman year, and although it has been challenging at times, I really love to push myself as much as possible.
