Hi, my name is Cassidy Carroll I am from Massachusetts in the graduating class of 2027 and my favorite event is the 800. I do spring track, winter (indoor) track and cross country. My collegiate goals and aspirations are based on being the best that I can be, applying myself both athletically and academically. I want to run at a challenging level, make genuine connections with my team and enjoy my sport. I am a hardworking, determined, and flexible athlete. One example of my flexibility took place during my freshman year SCC indoor track meet. After competing in my 1000-meter race, my coaches informed me that our team needed points in the 2-mile race. Despite the short notice, I laced up my spikes and jogged to the check-in. Under the pressure of my teammates and coaches cheering me on, I finished second in my first-ever 2-mile race, scoring the points needed for our team to win the South Coast Conference (SCC) championship. I am never satisfied with a bad grade, I always take the time to study, stay after school, and do everything possible to ensure my grades reflect my best academic self. I believe in leading by example and finding joy not just in my success, but in the success of my teammates and our team as a whole. I am committed to both sports and my academic goal of becoming a nurse, making sure I balance both well. What sets me apart is my adaptability, perseverance, responsibility, and constant positive attitude in hopes of uplifting the community around me. I look forward to the opportunity to take my running journey to the next level.
