I love sports and being on teams. Coming into high school, as a freshman, I had played club and middle school Soccer since I was 5, and club and middle school Lacrosse for 4 seasons. I love any kind of sport: skiing with my school club and family, skating on my backyard rink, rock climbing. So when I had the opportunity to try Indoor track this winter, I took it. Turns out I have some speed and was put on the Varsity team and am turning out some good times. Being that I am 50% Irish and 50% Indian, I've been raised in an interesting dynamic. While on the one hand, my family is very active and loves to travel, and on the other, they hold learning and emotional intelligence as the top priorities. At no time am I allowed to put athletics over academics. Because of this, my organizational skills are already much better than my teammates and classmates. I know if my grades start to drop, I will be doing fewer sports. It's a great motivator.
