The time and personal connection I have with running have helped shape who I am. Starting it young, with my mom being an avid runner, it developed into what has become one of the most important parts of my life. I value the sport so much because it has helped me form friendships, establish confidence in myself, and learn how to form a strong commitment to something. This has made me a dedicated athlete who not only runs for enjoyment of the sport but also to have it help me grow as a person. Alongside being a runner, I am also an extremely hardworking student who puts as much effort as possible into getting the most out of my education. I hope that in college I am able to continue both of these important facets of my life. I want to continue to run and compete in college to not just grow as an athlete but also to help me form and foster important connections in such a new environment. I also hope to study English and potentially law with the intention of working towards earning a PhD.
