Hello, my name is Meredith Kelley and I am a junior at Westborough High School. I am dedicated, dependable, and a team player. I am also very competitive, which pushes me to constantly improve in my events. I would love to further improve in my events at the college level, primarily either D2 or D3 but I am open to D1 as well.
I have competed in three seasons of indoor track where I primarily focus on shotput. I have gotten one varsity letter from my three seasons and look forward to getting another varsity letter during my senior year. As for outdoor, I will be competing in my third season this spring with the focus of improving my distances for javelin and discus in addition to learning to do a full spin for discus. I have lettered in my two previous seasons of outdoor and placed in both javelin and discus. Last year, I got the opportunity to compete in discus at the MIAA 2023 Outdoor Track & Field Divisonal Championship. This season, I am focusing on throwing 100ft and hopefully get to Nationals for my senior year.
As a junior, I have learned to balance myself between being a student-athlete. In school, I take all high level classes and get good grades. These classes push me to think critically, communicate with others, and pace myself to ensure that my work is done to the best of my ability. During track, I am very focused on improving my form for throws in order to get the most out of every practice. I listen to my coach's feedback and try to make little adjustments while totally focusing on the distance of my throws. I am very bubbly and supportive of my teamates by cheering for them, no matter the outcome of their throws.
Thank you,
Meredith Kelley
