Running track has been my outlet to race against others and myself. I have been athletic all my life, and the heptathlon has provided me with that variety of events that challenge my whole person: body, mind and that competitive spirit. I intend to break 4,000 points and approach 5,000 next year in my heptathlons. Though I take pride as an individual in my practice and races, I do love the camaraderie of a track team. I love it so much that I have often volunteered with the junior high program that launched my ambitions. While in school, I have maintained a 3.33 GPA combining academics and my artistic abilities with my passion for track. I want to continue my studies in science and art, as well as compete in heptathlons at the collegiate level.
