I became a little discouraged after track and field was canceled during the spring of 2020. To make things more difficult, both my head track and field coach and my throws coach resigned last summer. Unfortunately, neither position has been filled. With everything going on, I really didn’t know if competing in college would be possible until now. Now that I have had some time to ponder everything, I realize how much I really want to throw in college and how much I want to leave my mark in shot and discus this spring. During my sophomore year, I earned All-Conference honors in both track and basketball. More importantly, I earned All-State honors my sophomore year by earning 6th place with a throw of 37’8” My personal best that year was 38.’ I also qualified for state in the discus. My personal best in the discus in 2018 was 118.’ As I look at the best college options for me, I really want to find a college that will prepare me for my career and that will allow for me to compete in track and field while earning my degree. What makes me a good athlete is i will never stop working hard ,I am a person that never gives up when its hard. I love different challenges because you would not be very successful in life if you don´t go through challenges and fight your way through it. I also like to help and be a leader , whenever someone needs help or don´t know how to do anything i will for sure help anyone out.
