IHi, I’m Mackenzie Patten and I’m a senior at Milford High School in Highland MI. I’ve played volleyball since I was young and was on the varsity team for 2 years. I chose not to play school ball this year because I see a bigger and brighter future pursuing my passion for Track/Field. I was introduced to throwing my freshman year and had a lot of success. Ever since then I’ve devoted myself to getting to the next level as well as dedicating myself to throwing all year long. I lift 4 days a week, speed and agility 2 days a week and throw 3 days a week or as much as possible! Going into my senior season I’ve been nominated to be captain for 2 years now , based on my leadership and approachability. What sets me apart from other athletes that are also being recruited is that I’ve been through the mental struggle as a thrower and grew from it. Academically, I currently have a 2.81 gpa due to adjusting to a recent move and not taking academics seriously my freshman year. It was a very valuable lesson to be learned because since then I’ve earned a 3.4 and higher GPA each semester to pull it up. Expect nothing less than 110% from me if I'm given the opportunity to be part of your throws team! Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about me and my high school athletic and academic career. I’m excited to hear from you, and what could possibly be the start to a bright future ahead of me!
Best Regards,
Mackenzie Patten
