Hello! My name is Adelyn Bye (aka Adi Bye). Competing athletically has always been an important part of my life since I was a young girl. When I started track as a Freshman in high school, I was immediately intrigued and challenged by the variety of events I wanted to learn and excel at. I quickly gravitated to triple jumping and showed strong dedication to understanding the techniques and skills needed to do well in this event. As a Junior year, I was also given the opportunity to compete in long jump and found that my athletic ability allowed me to compete very well with the highest competition even though I was "newer" to this event. In addition to my natural athletic abilities, I am very coachable, hard working and a supportive teammate and captain. As both a runner and jumper on a very small high school team, much has been asked of me by my coaches throughout the seasons, and with perseverance, I have always risen to the challenge and helped my team have a lot of success. This year, our girls' team took Second in our section (MN 4A) for the first time in our school's history. I have been nominated All-Conference all three years of participating in track and field, along with receiving the Leadership Award this year and Academic All State. At the same time, I pride myself in striving for the best off the track as well and in the classroom. I have a 4.29 GPA and have been awarded Academic Excellence in Science, Math, Humane Letters and Latin. I aspire to pursue even greater athletic and academic success in college!
