My name is Paige and I am a junior from Mayer, MN. My track career started in 9th grade when my mother forced me to go out for the track team. Little did I know, this sport would soon become my favorite sport, and also my passion. I enjoy running the 100 high hurdles, but started learning the triple jump at the end of last season and am going to try long jump this season.
I am a three sport athlete, competing in volleyball, basketball and track. I really like the individuality that track allows for, but enjoy the team aspect as well. Being from Minnesota, our track season is very short, and I look forward to the spring to be able to get outside in the fresh air and run.
As of right now, my academic goals for college are to get a degree in early childhood or elementary education. I love kids and the thought of getting to work with them every day is exciting to me. I enjoy kids so much I volunteer at my churches summer vacation bible school every year. I also referee 3/4th grade boys and girls basketball games.
I feel like I am early in my career and still have a lot of learning to do. I would love to continue my learning on the track at the college level.
