I fell in love with running in Elementary school through the Read, Right, and Run program. I competed in gymnastics until Middle School, but then decided that running was my passion. I have been lucky to have some great coaches in my career and look forward to finding a college program that is a good fit for me. I believe that my strong work ethic and positive attitude will help me make an impact on a team in both track and cross country at the collegiate level.
Winning the 2020 Missouri State Class 5 Cross Country Championship in my junior year has been the highlight of my high school running career. After finishing 8th as a freshman, I put a lot of pressure on myself my sophomore year and finished 21st - still All-State but disappointing. After that tough year, I learned that if I relax, put in the work, and trust my coaches and the process the results will follow.
I am looking forward to getting back on the track this Spring after missing out last year due to COVID and defending my team's 4x800 State Champion title!
