Volleyball is something that I have had a passion for since I was old enough to touch a ball. My love for the sport truly began, though, in fourth grade when I participated in “Little Spikers.” This was a great way to be introduced to the basics of volleyball and explore my competitive side. During this period I realized how much I genuinely love playing the sport and over time my devotion to the sport has grown stronger.
Additionally, when I was in eighth grade my team won the conference championship meaning we were the best team in our 13 team conference. This was by far the most memorable part of middle school for me. I have never felt so much joy and support my entire volleyball career. That same year, I was fortunate enough to be a student manager for our high school volleyball team, who received fourth place at the state tournament. This is something that hasn’t happened in our community for numerous years. Our community came together to support the volleyball team and this is something I will never forget. I dream of having this same experience during my high school career.
I am dedicated, disciplined, committed, and a great leader. For these reasons athletics play a big role in my life but academics always come first. Throughout my career, I have learned how important academic standing is. I would like to attend a college that has the same beliefs as I do about athletics and academics. I know I would be a great addition to your team because I am a three-sport athlete and currently the captain of our volleyball team!
