My growth in volleyball, basketball, and track and feild can all be attributed to discipline and an open mind. In middle school, I wasn't an athletic student in the slightest, so joining the track team, my first athletic sport, on a whim of my friend was terrifying. I was the slowest of everyone there and i would be in agony the whole time. Despite the pain, I continued to push myself. By eighth grade season, I was able to win my first race. But I didn't want to stop at one win. From there, i continued to push myself to improve in all my sports, leading me to be a starter varsity player in all three of my sports and competing in the state championship for track my freshman year. My goal now is to find a college that can give me the knowledge and support to continue this growth athletically.
Academically, I have always been extremely determined to excell at any subject I study. I have always had a 4.0 GPA all the way back to kindergarten, and i am currently enrolled in a program called Jumpstart where I will be graduating highschool with my Associates in Science with an emphasis on computer science by doing classes on a college campus. I am already used to the rigor college classes, so the transition will feel relatively natural.
I want to be able to show my parents, coaches, teachers, and friends that their support has helped me achieve my aspirations and more. I will continue to push myself and learn.
