Ever since I was in elementary school, I have had a love for running. My freshman year of high school, I made varsity on our team and fluctuated between the 3rd and 4th runner that year. My sophomore year was affected by COVID and our state only ran cross country for 4 weeks starting in March. Our team has won Regionals and State during my freshman and junior year. As a senior, I was the 2nd or 3rd runner and I have continued to improve my times until I developed a stress fracture in my hip, so I have been forced to take some time off but will be ready for my track season. Although my high school years have been affected by COVID and a couple injuries, I have never given up.
I would like to continue my running career by finding a college that allows me to continue to excel and improve my times in. I have a strong academic background and have always been able to juggle my school and extracurricular activities. I am excited for my future in running and finding a great fit.
