I consider myself to be an incredibly hardworking and passionate runner. Running has shaped me into who I am today and I cannot imagine life without it. My favorite aspect of running is the racing. The starting line adrenaline is so intense, but once the gun fires, I am focused and ready to go. In cross country, my teammates and I work together in races and have a unique, mature bond that I haven't seen in other high school teams. I believe that knowing how to race and work with a team will be incredibly important in college. When I'm not running, I enjoy creating recipes for my food blog, thrifting, weight lifting, surfing in the summer, and skiing in the winter. I also am a member of my high schools student government, I volunteer regularly with the Red Cross and I am a member of the Leaders Save Lives program. In college I want to take running and academics to the next level. I am looking to compete at a D1 or competitive D3 school that also allows me to pursue a pre-med path.
