My aspirations and collegiate goals are to be a competitive discus thrower while also furthering my studies in biomedical engineer. When I discovered discus during my freshman year in high school I truly realized I had found my niche. Due to this, each year I trained and worked diligently to achieve greater stats year by year. Unfortunately, during my 2024 season, I was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy. This caused me to feel weak at times and for the left side of my face to become stagnant, but this did not hold me back from reaching my discus goals. Although, I was not at my strongest, I still reached my goal of hitting 100 feet. This is why I will be a great member to your team: Because I truly realize that resilience leads to perseverance and will do anything in order to succeed.
