I have always dreamed about competing at the next level. I've did track since I was five years old. I've been to the Junior Olympic Games multiple times and have medaled. I've had minor set back and injuries, but I never quit or gave up. The determination and drive I have to be a better athlete sets me apart from a lot of athletes. I'm willing to put in a couple extra minutes, hours, or days to become a better athlete and excel in my events. I would be a great asset to a team because I show leadership qualities. For example, whenever my teammate is bent over or on the ground after a workout I pick them up and make them put their hands over their head. Although I want to be a great athlete I know grades are important. I'm always a student before an athlete. I strive to have goals in the classroom I have a 3.4 GPA. I know that track isn't going to be around forever, but my career and what I want to be in life will which is why I focus on my grades as well.
