As a three-season varsity scholar-athlete, cross-country, track and basketball, I am looking to continue my passion for athletics at the next level. I aspire to combine my love for competing with a future career in sports management. As a team player, and captain of the cross-country for the past two years, I have used my leadership skills to motivate and encourage our team to be a cohesive unit. I am self-motivated and proud that I have earned improvement in my times this season, while running with more confidence and stamina.
In school, in addition to taking a rigorous course load, I am involved in DECA and Boro Fights Cancer. DECA provides me an opportunity to compete at a regional and state level on business topics, whereas, Boro Fights Cancer helps raise money for a great cause that has had a personal impact on my family. I value community service and volunteer with the Freehold Challenger program where I play basketball with a special needs buddy, the I Can Bike program, where I teach special needs kids to ride a bike and Best Day at the Beach, where I assist special needs kids with beach fun. I find using my athletic skills to help others is very enjoyable and rewarding.
I am a team player, kind, compassionate and driven. I know what it takes to balance academics, athletics, activities, family and friends. I know I can be a valuable team member and I'm excited to become part of a collegiate team and a new community of scholar-athletes.
