I am currently finishing my senior year of high school and I just began my career in track and field last year. I knew I was behind the curve, but I was determinednas evidenced by my personal progression and forever changing personal records. I had always been a great runner, but I never competed in track before. I was nervous about starting, but I was also excited. I quickly realized that track is more mental than physical. I push myself to keep going, and I've learned a lot about myself since I started running. I've learned that I'm stronger than I thought I was. I've learned that I can push myself further than I ever thought possible. I've learned that I can achieve anything I set my mind to. I'm not the strongest runner, but I'm not the weakest either. I'm just me and I'm good enough. I'm proud of what I've accomplished in track so far. I've made the varsity team, I've won many races at the county and state level. But I'm not done yet. I want to keep improving and I want to keep competing in college.I know that I can achieve my goals if I stay focused and if I keep working hard.
