Being an athlete takes lot’s of patience. I learned that the hard way my junior year of High School. I never was accustomed to the competition or challenge with sports being that it was my first time ever doing one. I’m a dedicated individual who strives to want to improve in the classroom, my relationships, and on the track. I am a person who sets goals and I strive towards ambition. I have a 3.9 GPA taking many AP and Honors classes. I’ve been achieving high honor roll and honor roll since my 8th grade year. Not only did I work hard in the classroom I wanted to work harder on the track, and so I did. I made sure I was improving my time each time I ran. Knowing that it is my first year ever doing any sort of sport, I believe that I have the potential to gradually improve drastically moving forward. Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard. Anything good comes with time and having patience. I am looking forward to continuing my track journey at the collegiate level and looking to inspire others after being exposed to my journey.
