I started wrestling my freshman year not once did I ever have the thought of quitting wrestling or said I hated wrestling. I remember going into the first practice scared because this was a new atmosphere for me, but as I was practicing that day I realized that I was having fun and ever since then wrestling has became my passion. I don’t know where I’d be without wrestling. Wrestling has helped me to be confident, more aware of my body, and strong mentally and physically. Wrestling has showed me to never give up and to never doubt myself and that I can do anything I put your mind to.
I am coachable and an avid listener ready to accept constructive criticism that will prepare me to become great. I’m the type of athlete that will leave you in suspense so don’t ever count me out. I love bonding with my teammates because they feel like a second family that I can build memories with.
Outside of the mat, I do kickboxing and Juijistu at Tiger Shulmann‘s and it teaches me to disciplined. I have been volunteering at Tiger Shulmann’s since the eighth grade helping to instruct children’s classes. Ten years from now I am hoping to be a professional fighter in the UFC with a college degree that could help me to open my own martial arts school one day and I believe that wrestling collegiately will help me to to accomplish my dream.
