2022 Highlights Personal Statement
I am an honors student entering my Senior Year at Pequannock Township High School in NJ. I began throwing my freshman year in 3 events, Javelin, Discus & Shot-put, and although we weren't able to compete my sophomore year, I was able to beat my own personal bests this past season in all events and qualify for the NJ Meet of Champions in Javelin.
To stay competitive in the offseason, I've been working with a specialist coach and strength training. I also had the opportunity to compete in both the USATF Junior Olympics in Florida and AAU Junior Olympics Games in Texas (17-18 W) in both Discus & Javelin.
Prior to high school, I was a competitive gymnast for 8 years, so I know what level of dedication & spirit is required to excel.
I am excited to find the right fit in a college, both academically & athletically, and am looking forward to being Captain of the throwing team my senior spring season.
