Qualifying for both State Championships in the 5K for Cross County and the 100m dash my sophomore year was my most significant athletic accomplishments so far! Being on a smaller track and field team has made me more open to learning new events. Learning new events and being successful requires adaptability. This adaptability has helped me in sports as well as in academics.
Being adaptable helps me take instruction and take on new tasks without struggle or problems. I can understand instructions from coaches and make corrections without judgment or confusion. I am open to being taught and trained to improve. Being adaptable has allowed me to take on leadership roles in my school and in sports. I want to bring energy to every team I run for and will put my 100% effort into achieving my goals. I love track and field because there is always room to grow and improve.
I am willing to take risks and am comfortable adapting in the moment. I am excited to be a student-athlete and will use my strengths to help the Women's Track and Field team in college. I want to represent my future school well on the track field and in the classroom.
