Playing sports is what made me the person that I am today. In my life I have played sports ranging from softball to football and everything that I have done has impacted my life. Even though I haven't been throwing for a long time, my love for it grew very fast. I started throwing my sophomore year of high school during the spring and enjoyed every second of it. Since then I knew I wanted to play at the collegiate level.
There are many goals that I have entering the next level of my life. My biggest goal would have to be challenging myself to always do better, both academically and athletically. During my sophomore year I realized I wasn't challenging myself enough at the school I attended, therefore I transferred schools which was one of the best decisions in my life because not only was I introduced to track and field, I learned the importance of pushing myself to do better.
I feel that I am a great candidate because of my work ethic. For the past 3 years, I have always maintained good grades, played a sport, worked a part time job at a local child care center and volunteered many hours. I manage to do all of these things because I enjoy doing them. This makes me a good candidate because I will always balance out my academics and athletics and give 100% in both.
