As a student athlete, I consider myself coachable. I am willing to do whatever it takes to better my abilities whether that be academically or track related. My love for track sparked at my 4th/5th grade track meet when I ran the 55m, 400m, 4x1, and long jump. It felt so natural to be on the track. I was then recruited to my high school’s varsity team in 7th grade located in Hamburg, NY. I have been on the varsity team ever since, making this year my 5th year. Being one of the youngest on the team for so long made me mature and acquire leadership qualities early on. Now being an upperclassmen, I hope to be the person that the underclassmen look up to. I strive to be the best leader, teacher, and runner that I can be.
In the classroom, the same thing applies. I’m determined to be the best student I can be and always put my best effort into my work. I am limited to joining AP classes due to sports and extracurricular activities, but the few AP classes I take get the same amount of effort as every other class. This makes me the honors student I am.
Being a dedicated student athlete, I am determined and will give 110% into everything I do.
