Running is a very big part of my life. But I've had to work very hard in order to be successful. Especially when I was coming off an injury. In January of 2015 I got into a skiing accident, which put me out of most of my track season that season that year. The next cross country season was particularly stressful. I was putting in lots of work, but I wasn't getting the results that I wanted. As the season went on it looked more and more like I wasn't going to reach my goal, of qualifying for states. But I didn't give up. I continued to work to work hard and put in the extra effort. Then by the time the Sectional State Qualifying meet came I placed 4th in my division and made it to the State meet! This accomplishment was a great moment of realization. Where I learned that you can achieve any goal with the right attitude and a strong work ethic.
