Joining track and field in the winter of my sophomore year was well out of my comfort zone, I had never run more than 3 miles and at that point, I was only using track as a means of staying in shape for soccer. By outdoor season I was already considering switching from soccer to cross country, not because I had incredible times or talent but because I loved to run and I loved my team. By August I had officially joined the cross-country team and since then I've seen myself grow athletically, academically and most of all I've been able to improve my work ethic, ability to work as a member of a team, and self-discipline. I hope to run at the collegiate level to continue improving both my times and my mentality, I want to form strong connections with my teammates and become a member of a team that strives to make one another better.
