Gillian Berger '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'3" junior sprinter from Tarrytown, New York. I have been a starter on the Sleepy Hollow High School varsity indoor track team for 4 years. I was an all-league runner in 2009, 2010, and 2011 and I was chosen to be a part of the 2011 all-county team for the 55 meter dash. Ideally, I would like to attend a larger size school with high academic standards, for I have a 3.85 GPA and a 2010 combined SAT score. Participating in athletics has been of great importance to me since the age of 6, when i desired to be a pitcher for the New York Yankees. Therefore, I will consider any opportunity to run track at the collegiate level, though I feel that the DII level might suit me best. I can contribute greatly to a team through leadership, for I have been a captain of my high school team for 2 years. I can also contribute to a team though my determination; when I put my mind to something, no one can block my path to success.
