My name is Malissa Enoch, I am 16 years old at River Mill Academy. Since I was little I've always had a strong passion for running and just sports in general. In middle school when I started taking running more serious and that's when I told my self I wanted to do track and field in college. Running in college has always been a dream of mine, I would watch the Olympics all the time just for track and field. I grew up hearing use your talent for greatness and strive to reach your goals no matter the limit. I lost my little sister a couple years ago and now everything I do is for her and my parents. I made a promise to my parents that I would go to college and make something of myself. So, having the chance to do track and field in college would be a dream come true for me and show my family that I will live up to my promise. I'm very hardworking, strong and love challenging myself to my full potential. In my life I was told by people that I couldn't do this or that because I'm a girl or I wasn't strong enough because I was small. Since track and field came in my life it has changed me by all the negative comments people gave me. I use all that on the track and it only pushes me harder and harder each time to become a better runner.
