Daniela Flores-Gutierrez '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Daniela Flores, I am in the class of 2024. I plan to major in nursing and obtain my BSN. I have run cross country and have done track and field for the past 6 years beginning in middle school, then advancing to our varsity team. I currently run for Saint Stephens High School. During a regular track season, I run any distance event such as the 4x00m, 800m, 1600m, and 3200m as well as running cross country in the fall. I have run on my high school varsity team since my freshman year. So far while being a part of these teams I have qualified for the cross country 3A NCHSAA regionals all four years as well as individually qualifying for 3A state championships throughout two different seasons. I have also qualified in the past year for all of my track events to participate in the 3A regionals as well as being named Catawba County's Women's MVP 2023.

I am currently a part of the Key Club, Dream Team, Juntos 4-H and Athletic Leadership Academy for the past 4 years at SSHS. 

Cross Country has taught me so many things. I have learned to work hard  and put my strongest leg forward and how to be a leader on and off the track. Being on the track is  my main outlet of bring able to put everything out there. I am coachable, dedicated team player, who strives to encourage her teammates both on and off the track.
