My name is Mikayla Boucher and this will be my twelfth year training and competing in track as a middle/long distance runner. I have a competitive drive that has allowed me to be fortunate in achieving success in both athletics as well as academics. I have a very strong work ethic and always strive to do my best in everything I do. I chose to participate in the International Baccalaureate program in order to challenge myself at a new level of education. This has significantly strengthened my time management skills as I was able to balance; courses almost at the university level, track practice six times a week, a part time job as a gymnastics coach and was still able to find free time to enjoy with friends and family. Not only do I love the individual aspect of track, but I love the community aspect as well. I am a very enthusiastic teammate and I love seeing my teammates grow stronger and reach their goals. I am very excited to continue my athletic career and would be honored to compete on a university track team. A goal of mine is to make it to the Canada Games in 2021 and am interested in a Bachelors of Science degree.
