My name is Isis Wagner. I am a Senior at Buckeye Central High School. I have only been doing Cross Country for 5 years and Track and Field for 4, but throughout the years I plan on pushing myself to the best of my ability. I would like to one day run for the United State's National Track and Field team.
I have made varsity Cross Country twice and have yet to make varsity Track. Though the Track and Field season got canceled last year, I planned a spring to the end of summer workout group. Throughout the months, four other people and I got together every day and worked out. Sometimes we would play basketball, other times we went on distance runs, we even planned our own track meet for the neighborhood to participate in. I think this is what makes me a great recruit. Even when a chance was lost, I build new ones to not only grow as an athlete but also as a leader.
I also push myself in academics. I am a member of the National Honors Society, I have gotten my honors pin two years in a row, I am an all A student, and I have a 3.94 GPA.
I think both the academic and athletic sides of me show that I could be a great student-athlete and I hope that you, the coach, think so as well.
