Personal Statement

My name is Isabella Cicero, I am currently a Junior at Aurora High School. I strive to be the best I can be in class, on the track, and in my everyday life. I am a highly determined worker and am very committed to accomplishing my goals, whether it is extra training after practice or seeking help from a teacher on topics that I am unsure about.

What I love about Track is that it allows you to be part of a supportive team while simultaneously pushing myself to reach personal goals and test my physical and mental limits. Establishing relationships with my Coaches and teammates is essential to me because in order for the team to perform at our highest level, it is important to be able to understand and respect one another.

I am driven by the belief that hard work, perseverance, dedication, and learning make anything achievable. I do not believe in giving up and instead approach everything with the understanding that anything is achievable if you are willing to work for it. Competing in college will allow me to continue to push myself both mentally and physically and give me the opportunity to set more ambitious goals.

I am excited about the possibility of joining a collegiate track program where I can continue to grow my work ethic and passion for the sport.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
