From as young as 5 years old I have surrounded myself with sports. I have played multiple sports competitively which has developed and diversified my skills as an athlete. At Walsh Jesuit High School I competed in soccer, cross country, swimming, and track. I did soccer freshman year and started cross country my junior year. I have competed in swimming since my sophomore year. Lastly, I have competed in track since my freshman year. Before high school I competed in soccer since 5th grade, swimming since I was 7, and track since 7th grade. Currently, as a Senior, I will be competing in varsity athletics in cross country, swimming, and track. As a Senior I am a captain for the cross country team and I will be one as well for track.
As a Student-Athlete, I take pride in keeping my GPA up while being a 3-sport varsity athlete. My cumulative GPA up to my Junior year after the 1st-semester finals is a 3.7. I have been in honors math since my Freshman year, honors science since my sophomore year, I took AP US History as a Junior. My senior year I will continue on my rigorous academics while taking AP Calculus AB, AP Chemistry, and Honors Latin 4.
My goal is to run at a D2 competitive college or D1 somewhat competitive - competitive college. I push myself daily trying to attain this goal of mine. When I set standards and goals for myself, I often do not stagger away from them. I understand I'm not the best in the sports I compete in, but I have a drive in me to practice harder and become more determined to achieve new records every year. I push myself to take up a leadership role in my team to push others and not let others slack in their own capabilities. I will carry on this dedication to the collegiate level.
