Lily Barnes '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Lily Barnes. I am a multi-sport athlete in the class of 2024. I started throwing in 7th grade but was unable to have a track season my 8th-grade year due to Covid. This time period made me realize to not take things for granted and it helped me to work harder and push myself every day. Going to state as a freshman in discus has been the highlight of my career so far. This was an amazing experience because it showed everyone that my hard work and extra hours of practice throughout the season had paid off. It was very important to me because I had a rough spot during the season where I wasn't throwing my best and I was very discouraged. I proved to everyone that I could overcome pressure and had the ability to fix my mindset. These qualities would make me beneficial to have on your team. It is also extremely important that I find the right school that will be able to help me become a better student, stronger athlete, and greater person.
