I aspire to continue improving myself and expanding my mind- both of which I believe will not only help my running, but my character as well. While my education always comes first, my passion for running grows each year I compete- pushing me to new limits every season. While right now my high school career goal is to break our school record of 18:46 in the 5k, I believe with a collegiate training plan I can run much faster. I am an excellent teammate, as I have an optimistic outlook and an enthusiastic and hardworking personality. I am also a very coachable athlete, as I'm constantly working to keep my mind open to constructive criticism.  I would consider my mental strength to be one of my best assets, as I am good at making goals and figuring out how to run to my potential, not just to exhaustion. Wherever I choose to go to school, I will bring a grateful mindset and positive attitude.
