Running has been a huge part of my life for many years. As I enter college, I hope to have a unique college experience and also be able to be part of a cross country or track team. From my experiences, I have been able to meet most of my best friends and greatest mentors through running and I hope to continue that as I start college. I am a good candidate for a team because I always give my best effort. I may not always be the fastest or strongest, but you will never see me not try. I never give up without a fight. This is not only as an athlete, but in school as well. I try my very best at everything I do. I love to help people, encourage my teammates, and will do anything that a coach asks of me.
As a note, I’ve had many coaches ask about my current running, here is what I would like to share:
During the 2019 XC season (junior year), I ended up sitting out the entire season. Although this broke my heart because I love to run, it was for the best. I was having some major health issues and was in and out of the hospital over the course of August- October. I was having some severe abnormal female bleeding and was in severe pain. My ferritin, hemoglobin, and a few other key parts of my health were way below normal. I was very light headed, and extremely drowsy making it nearly impossible to run well. Currently, they have believed to have found the solution. I was released to slowly start running again (around October 20). I will be back in action around indoor track and outdoor track season.
