My name is Sam and I run cross country and track at Mentor High school in Ohio. I started running when I was younger with my mom and then joined track in seventh grade and then cross country in eighth. I love the sport and am very competitive. The last three summers I have put in over 200 miles each summer and have attended my coaches running camp. My sophomore year I ran at the state meet for both cross country and track (4x400). This year I was News Herald athlete of the week during cross country and qualified up to the regional meet. As a junior I was elected team captain. I enjoy pushing my teammates to do their best. During workouts, I push myself so I can perform well at the meets. I have a very upbeat personality and I am almost always laughing. In school, I have a 3.6 GPA and I am taking some honors and ap classes.
