I am a dedicated student athlete perusing a college that will challenge me academically and as a runner. Although I did not have 2020 outdoor junior season, I have continued to workout with a speed and agility trainer to prepare myself for my senior year. My high school outdoor relay teams in 2019 qualified for the Regional Meet in the 4x200, 4x400 and 4x100 with the 4x200 team making it the the State Championships in Columbus. We had just competed the 4x400 and 4x200 at the 2020 Indoor State Championship when the season was canceled. I was looking forward to a very successful junior season with lots of PR's and hope for a league championship. I am a leader on my team and I am a strong competitor in both relay and individual events by being consistent and helping my team progress. Even though most track events are done individually I think its is really important to have a strong team bond in which everyone works hard and encourages each other throughout. Overall, I want to continue to compete in the sport that I am passionate about while also working hard in the classroom.
