Placing 4th at the 2019 6A Oklahoma State Cross Country Championships my first big accomplishment in my high school career. Since then, I came in second in State in 2020 and ran my first full track season, winning State in the 3000 and breaking the state record as well. However, I feel that I grew the most during track season my freshman year, when I was unable to run for certain health reasons. During this time I realized how much I truly loved the sport. This set back developed me into a more encouraging teammate, and helped me refocus my goals on not just my success, but my teams success as well. Through running, I have learned what it means to be a leader, hardworking, sacrificial, and goal oriented. Outside of sports, I aspire to be a nurse anesthetist.
