Hi, my name is Shana Van Elderen and I’m a senior at St. Roch Catholic Secondary School, Brampton. I do long jump and triple jump, and I’m a former hurdler. I’ve been running since I was 7 years old and as my love for the sport grew, so did my commitment to wanting to run in college while getting my degree at the same time. My goal is to major in Computer Science that will position me well to become a software developer. On the field, I plan to be a dynamic athlete and a positive influence on the team. I will conduct myself with honour and respect on and off the track, knowing the way I carry myself will reflect my team, my coaches and the school I attend.
