My name is Isabelle Gudelevicius and I was first inspired to begin long distance running at the age of three when my mother ran the 2009 Disney Marathon. I saw the vibrant spirit and sportsmanship each runner had while supporting one another, and after that day, I aspired to run a marathon. I have been training long distance for almost five years to date. I have ran the 2023 Detroit Marathon and was granted the title of youngest Canadian female to complete the full marathon. I am now currently training with a coach for the 2024 New York Ironman 70.3, as well as the Toronto 2024 Marathon on May 5th. I also will be running a 50km Ultra Marathon in Michigan on June 1st, gaining the title of youngest runner to complete set course. Running is my safe space. After my daily morning run, I am already planning tomorrow's. Running has made a massive impact on my life today and has taught me sportsmanship, leadership, confidence and strength within myself. I believe failure is a mindset. Your body doesn't give up first, your mind does. I carry this with me throughout my training and has led me to achieve my goals.
