Personal Statement

Hi I’m Ciara!

Since I first began running at the age of 8 with my elementary school cross country team, I haven’t looked back since. I love both the physical and mental challenge that running presents and feel a deep sense of satisfaction from pushing myself to be the best that I can be. More than anything, I love the community that I’ve found along the way of my running journey and the unwavering support of being part of something bigger than myself. I hope to bring my determination and self discipline, but also encouragement and open-mindedness to college cross country and track. I would love to find a school that can help me grow as both an athlete and a scholar and help me to unlock my greatest potential as a runner.
