Personal Statement
I have been running for fun since I was two, and over time it has lit a competitive fire that shapes who I am. My time in high school has helped me concurrently develop my two main passions: STEM and running. I seek to continue the healthy balance between academics and athletics as I move toward college and my life in the long term. Running is a unique blend of personal and team performance that suits my personality perfectly. I am team-focused and driven to lift those around me, even as my competitive spirit is stoked by my desire to be better than I was a year, a month, or a day ago.
