Personal Statement

I hope everyone is safe during this tough time but we will get through this together, as a team!

Qualifying for the 2018 TSTCA Indoor Championships at Edinboro University in multiple events as a freshman has been the highlight of my track career to date. However, I feel I grew the most as a student-athlete later that year when I pulled my hamstring in the first meet of the spring track season.  Although not serious, the injury resulted in my missing the entire spring season. That experience tested me not just physically but mentally as well and lead me to re-focus my own efforts on coming back faster and stronger than ever.  The hard work and dedication paid off as I qualified for the 2018 USATF Region 2 Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships in July of that same year.  In the 2019 outdoor season, I qualified for the WPIAL/PIAA Regional State Championships in both the 400m and 4 by 400m relay at Slippery Rock University.  I qualified once again for the 2019/2020 TSTCA Indoor Championships at Edinboro University in both the 400m and 4 by 400m relay.

I am fortunate enough to be part of two great track programs, Heroes Track Club and Canon-McMillan High School. I am learning the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program. As a two-sport athlete and a Distinguished High Honors student, I know that I have what it takes to be a leader on your team!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
