My collegiate goals are to continue to better myself and be an asset to a collegiate team. I believe I am a good candidate because hard work and dedication have been my top priority in every activity I do. I truly live the quote, "If you are going to do it you might as well put 110% into it". I am always the first on the field and last off the field every practice. I am willing to put in the extra work wither its and hour or just an extra 5 reps if that means bettering not only myself but the team as well. I love both positive and constructive feedback because it betters myself as an athlete and I take every correction or criticism and try to apply it to make myself better! I strive to be the best teammate I can be. I will not hesitate to stick around practice an extra minute or so to help a teammate out.
Academics have never come easy to me, but I continue to put my education before everything. Getting a good education is the up most important to me. I work hard to keep my GPA in the 3.5-4.0 range and will continue that in college. I pride myself on the ability of being able to hold a high GPA especially since I was online for the end of the 2020 school year and the whole 2021 school year. In my junior year of high school, I took 11 classes. 2 of them being online classes on top of the other 9 in person classes when my school only requires 7 credits each year.
Some of my accomplishments that set me aside from other candidates are not only competing for my high school track team but for 5 years I have been on the Swift Arrow Track Club team. I am back-to-back state champion in the 3 Rivers Association meet held at Slippery Rock University (2018 and 2019. 2020 and 2021 were cancelled due the Covid-19). I have competed at the state, region, and national level. In 2018 I placed 1st at the state level, 6th at the region level, and 19th at the national level. In 2019 I placed 1st at the state level, 2 at the region level, and 3rd at the USATF Youth Outdoor Championship at Durham, NC. Covid-19 has affected my track career by taking my freshman year of outdoor and summer track. The 2021 season was rough trying to get back into the swing of things since I was not able to jump for a year. However, I placed 3rd in high jump and 5th in long jump at the 2021 PIAA District 10 Championship. That summer I placed 2nd at 2021 National Youth Outdoor Championship in Rome, GA. This Season I place 2nd in high jump, 3rd in long jump, and 4th in triple jump at the 2022 PIAA District 10 Championship and plan to continue my season throughout the summer of 2022.
