I started running cross country in 8th grade when the sport had been newly introduced to my school. Joining the team was one of the best decisions that I've ever made. I am the kind of person that strives to be the best that I can be, but xc pushed me to become a much more competitive athlete. Cross has helped me to set goals for myself, while also setting goals with my team. I love cross country because it's an individual and team sport, and it has a positive and exciting environment. Also, you get out of it what you put into it. A little bit about myself is that I love meeting new people and building new relationships. Over the years I've also participated in volleyball, softball, travel softball, band, basketball, archery, and swimming. While being involved in these activities, I met some of my best friends and formed lifelong relationships. No matter what sport I'm playing, I always give it my best effort, even when I'm not having my best day. In school, I have the same mindset as sports: always strive for excellence and be the best that I can be. Over the years I've achieved honor roll or distinguished honor roll every marking period. Overall, I think that what you need to know about me is that I'm hardworking and a people person!
